We’re now looking for a proactive and experienced Talent and Recruitment Lead.

 

Purpose of Role

The Talent and Recruitment Lead will act as a senior team member, driving local attraction and engagement initiatives whilst providing effective leadership, motivation and guidance to the team.

Talent and Recruitment Lead will be expected to engage with high volumes of candidates, guiding them through the recruitment process end-to-end with the utmost care and support. You will utilise a wide selection of recruitment channels to attract and engage with prospective applicants, yet new and innovative methods of recruitment will need to be explored within this role.

This is the ideal role for a motivated recruiter with an appetite for career progression who is looking for a unique challenge and the opportunity to make a genuine difference.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that recruitment and selection procedures and practice meet operational needs, legislative and good practice requirements. 
  • Make continual improvements to the recruitment process and systems
  • Pro-actively seek out new opportunities and candidates
  • Place advertisements on selected hosts 
  • Conduct initial screening of CVs and conduct initial telephone interviews. 
  • Liaise with account managers and external recruiters 
  • Work with managers to develop the recruitment process, including interview guidelines 
  • Ensure that all job descriptions are in place and remain current and accurate.
  • Advertise new vacancies internally and update the Careers webpage 
  • Manage the administration of all recruitment records, ensuring that these are complete, accurate and kept up-to-date
  • Conduct exit interviews and complete the leaver process. 
  • Manage compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPRwith respect to the storage of, access to and destruction of personal data. 

Skills Needed:

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting or similar HR role
  • Proactive
  • Excellent understanding of recruitment processes
  • Good knowledge of candidates’ selection methods
  • Good understanding of Employer Branding strategies
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills  
  • Good time-management skills
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 
  • Well organised; ability to prioritise; attention to detail; a pragmatic approach
  • Energetic, good-humoured, pragmatic - a credible team player
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR

Salary: Circa £30,000 + Commission + comprehensive benefits package + 24 days holiday + 2 charity days + pension + healthcare
